  1. Me: If two waves can have the same frequency but different wavelengths, f and λ are NOT representations of the same wave and certainly not a one-to-one correlation.

    Frankie:

You are trying to compare apples to oranges. Each of those two waves have one and only one frequency that corresponds to its wavelength.

No, fuckwad. Have those waves change medium, and hence the propagation speed, and the wavelength changes while the frequency remains the same.

    Another home-schooled moron

  2. Frankie:
They are directly correlated with a one-to-one correspondence.

No, they’re inversely proportional at a given propagation speed, which is not the same thing. Fuckwad

  3. Mung: You got what you deserve. Next time put up a candidate that can win.

Just how horrendous does a candidate have to be to loose to someone like Trump.

We must be talking something south of Caligula

    peace

  4. Poor old Joe.

The ID side want nothing to do with him, he’s an embarrassment. We’re happy for him to stumble ’round belligerent and uniformed representing ID with his handful of tragic go-to phrases. All he brings is comedy, and that he can’t grasp that just makes him funnier.

    “ID’s Rottweiler”
    “I can understand anything”
    “Feel like a hero again”

Pyramid power, H202, ticks on watermelons, stars required to stop planets falling into the sun etc etc etc. He’ll argue any idiotic position, then melt down with “tat” and “life is good”.

I put him right at the bottom with Mapou. Phoodoo is the next level.

  5. Mung:
I just love all the Trump haters. Haha. You got what you deserve. Next time put up a candidate that can win.

It’s ok, the Trump voters are going to get what they deserve too

  6. Mung,

Everyone seems to vote against their own economic interest. If trump makes it through 4 years his (current) tax plan is worth over 100K to me after tax. I didn’t vote for him. Those who depend on social safety nets? Largely trump voters.

  7. newton: Ask Putin

That’s what I’m saying, imagine what it took for folks to vote for a candidate that was reportedly in the tank for the Russian dictator.

The other applicant must have been really really bad 😉

    peace

  8. Richardthughes: Or the electorate really really stupid.

Are FrankenJoe, Mapou, Phoodoo, Barry Arrington, FMM, William J. Murray, Michael Egnor, Cornelius Hunter, Gauger, Dembski, Axe and Phillip Cunningham (aka Batshitcrazy77) part of the American electorate? If so, you may have a valid point. Damn good thing that I am Canadian. But, I’m afraid, we have to take ownership for Denyse (News). What makes it even worse is that we went to the same high school and now live in the same city.

I would have included Mung, but he has demonstrated that he has a sense of humour, which means that he can’t be utterly stupid.

  9. Richardthughes: Or the electorate really really stupid.

If only there was a system of government where a country could be ruled with out regard to the wishes of the people. Then at last we would be safe from authoritarians like Trump 😉

    PS

I am so glad I did not vote for either of these clowns.

I never thought principled opposition could be so fun. You all (both sides) deserve each other

    peace

  10. dazz is too simple minded to understand simple explanations. So let’s try this:

The list below gives the wavelengths at various frequencies:
    1 kHz = 300 kilometers
    3 kHz = 100 kilometers
    10 kHz = 30 kilometers
    30 kHz = 10 kilometers
    100 kHz = 3 kilometers
    300 kHz = 1 kilometer

    1 MHz = 300 meters
    3 MHz = 100 meters
    10 MHz = 30 meters
    30 MHz = 10 meters
    100 MHz = 3 meters
    300 MHz = 1 meter

    1 GHz = 300 millimeters = 30 centimeters
    3 GHz = 100 millimeters = 10 centimeters
    10 GHz = 30 millimeters = 3 centimeters
    30 GHz = 10 millimeters = 1 centimeter
    100 GHz = 3 millimeters
    300 GHz = 1 millimeter

Frequency and wavelength are two sides of the same coin, with frequency being a useful term in some cases and wavelength being more convenient in others.

That is exactly what I was talking about in the CONTEXT of my discussion with Wee Willie Dickshaker

  11. And acartia, I have exposed you and all of your socks as ignorant fucktards. So I am OK with you and Richie trying to insult me. I just consider the source- total losers and pathological liars- and have a good chuckle.

And they make it clear in that link that “Electromagnetic radiation is in the form of waves propagating at a speed of 300,000,000 meters per second”

Those relations only apply to Electromagnetic radiation in A VACUUM.

Now try a 1KHz sound wave. If there’s always a one-to-one relationship between freq and wl, would that wave have a wl of 300 kilometers too?

    No

    You fail. Period.

I googled your blog and all this has been explained to you at length, the fact that you still don’t get it testifies for how fucking retarded you are

  13. Acartia: I would have included Mung, but he has demonstrated that he has a sense of humour, which means that he can’t be utterly stupid.

I also didn’t vote for Trump. But I do love laughing at people who are whining (or crying) about his win.

  14. Frankie: That is exactly what I was talking about in the CONTEXT of my discussion…

I have a hard time believing that anyone would take something you wrote out of context in order to try to make you look foolish. Certainly no one here!

  15. Frankie: I hope so. That is why I voted for him.

Excellent! Sign up to be name #1 on the Muslim registry and then report to the border with your shovel for wall duty.

  16. Mung: I have a hard time believing that anyone would take something you wrote out of context in order to try to make you look foolish. Certainly no one here!

What context can change the fact that he’s totally wrong when he says that there’s always a 1-to-1 relation between f and λ?

I don’t know how all this originated, but it’s rather obvious he has no clue what he’s talking about. Do you disagree?

  17. Frankie: I just consider the source- total losers and pathological liars- and have a good chuckle.

Why would you seek out such people in the first place and secondly why would you then hang around discussing (to stretch a word) things with them?

Are the losers the only group who’ll put up with you Joe? As we’ve seen you’ve been banned from everywhere else! So try and learn something for once, for pity’s sake. Why don’t you try responding to what people are actually saying for once?

  18. Yes dazz I know that CONTEXT doesn’t mean anything to ignorant assholes like you who just care about trying to score points. The CONTEXT had nothing to do with waves in different mediums- NOTHING.

Obviously you are just a fucking loser. Grow up

  19. Mung: I have a hard time believing that anyone would take something you wrote out of context in order to try to make you look foolish. Certainly no one here!

It is all they can do. They sure as hell don’t grasp science nor can they form a coherent argument.

  20. Mung: I also didn’t vote for Trump. But I do love laughing at people who are whining (or crying) about his win.

So true, an unstable person in charge of nuclear weapons nothing to cry about. Big babies. About three million more babies than voted for Trump

  21. LoL! @ Richie the clueless fucktard- I stand up to bullies, loser. That doesn’t make me a bully. You and yours try to bully anyone and everyone who disagrees with your version of science.

It’s as if you are totally unaware and living in a pile of shit

  22. Richardthughes:
    newton,

I know. I’d feel bad, but for his history of Internet bullying.

That time he challenged pro-science people to meet him at his house and he’d “teach them a lesson”, then gave out the address of an empty parking lot 30 miles away was just classic!

  23. Frankie:
Yes dazz I know that CONTEXT doesn’t mean anything to ignorant assholes like you who just care about trying to score points. The CONTEXT had nothing to do with waves in different mediums- NOTHING.

Obviously you are just a fucking loser. Grow up

It’s far to late to make excuses you poor retard. The fact that you had to ask why λ always changes predictably with f when you change it in your signal generator clearly shows you had no idea how that works. You could have simply answered yourself “because in this particular case the speed remains constant”

And then there’s the consilience. Your retarded claims about infinite set cardinality, like the set of even numbers is smaller than the set of integers, your total and pathetic lack of any basic understanding of evolutionary biology, posting local file links and claiming they work for you so there must be something wrong on our end… you’re an ignoramus of the highest order and what is worse, you’re completely incapable of learning a thing.

I’m back to ignoring your sorry ass, poor little fuckwad

  24. dick:

That time he challenged pro-science people to meet him at his house and he’d “teach them a lesson”, then gave out the address of an empty parking lot 30 miles away was just epic!

It is also an epic lie, loser. I never challenged any pro-science people to anything. One anonymous tard on my blog wanted to know where I could be found so it was told where to go.

  25. dazz the fucktard confuses facts with excuses- what a loser. And set subtraction supports my claim pertaining to infinite sets. It is the same reasoning Cantor used to describe different infinities- not that you could understand that. And my grasp of evolutionary biology is much better than yours will ever be.

  26. I wonder if evos lose their balls, brains and spines before or after drinking from the tard kool-aid?

  27. Richardthughes:
    He’s so flustered. Bless.

If news reports surface of a bawling chubby YEC going postal in [ redacted — Patrick ] and smashing all the windows at the local Krispy Kreme we’ll know why. 🙂

  28. Frankie:
And acartia, I have exposed you and all of your socks as ignorant fucktards. So I am OK with you and Richie trying to insult me. I just consider the source- total losers and pathological liars- and have a good chuckle.

So, if you just consider the source, why do you rise to the bait and go ballistic every time I mention your claim that frequency equals wavelength? Something that I have done dozens of times. Something that any high school student would know was wrong. Something that anyone with grade school math would know was wrong. Something that anyone who made this claim, and wasn’t a narcissistic moron, would admit as an error.

Have you ever admitted that you were wrong with this claim? If so, please provide a link. Have you ever admitted that you were wrong about anything? If so, please provide s link.

  29. *Joe: “set subtraction supports my claim pertaining to infinite sets.”

Hey Joey, out of curiosity. if we were to ask that question at quora, or askamathematician.com, would you accept the answer given by some unknown, impartial expert who really knows what Cantor said? I know I would. And if the answer looks a lot like what has been explained to you (ironically being that sets of the same cardinality have a 1-to-1 relation between the members of both sets, a.k.a. bijection) would you admit your potential mistake?

  30. dazz, Cantor is not God- he is a fallible human who didn’t know anything about relativity nor did he seem to understand that infinity is a journey.

Set subtraction is all I need to show that Cantor was wrong. So just repeating what he said isn’t going to help anyone.

Also saying that all countable and infinite sets have the same cardinality is a meaningless claim and has no practical use. So what is the point of even making a counter-intuitive claim like that?

  31. Acartia- you are right- you are best ignored as it is obvious you are too stupid to understand reasonable explanations.

Have you ever been right? Ever? You talk about me refusing to admit I am wrong yet you spew bullshit as if it means something. Then when called on it you just bluff some more. You are a pimple on the ass of progress
