Testing Evolutionism (the alleged theory of evolution)

Testability is the main thing a concept needs in order to be considered science. If your claims cannot be tested then science doesn’t care about them. Enter evolutionism, also mistakenly called the theory of evolution, ie the concept that all biological diversity evolved via natural selection, drift and neutral construction starting from some much simpler biological replicator, which in turn evolved from much simpler molecular replicators.

None of that can be tested. Not only that the sub-claims are also untestable. Biology is full of biological systems, subsystems and structures. These too need to have testability, yet they do not. Evolutionists hide behind father time and think that excuses them from the testability criteria science requires. All that does is prove theirs is not a scientific position.

No one knows how ATP synthase arose and no one knows how to test the claim that natural selection, drift and neutral construction did it. Dembski tried to help by formulating a conditional probability but he was shrugged off. Evolutionists are fine failing on their own and don’t need no steenking help from Dembski!

So how can we test your claims, evolutionists? And why, in the absence of testability, do you think your position qualifies as science?

  1. It: was another blustery day

Little Richie Hughes finds himself on the pitch, in his school shorts, shirt and tie, with the ball at his feet and twelve meters from the goal. He is wondering what the fuck is happening as no one has ever passed him the ball and he was watching the birds setting off for the south. He is snapped back to reality by overwhelming shouts for him to kick the ball with some yelling for him to kick it in the goal. Little Richie has never had the ball before let alone score a goal! So all at once he turned and with his mightiest of kicks Little Richie scored, only to have his best friend knock him down for kicking the ball past him for an own goal.

From thence on Richie was a cupcake and his friends let him know it every day.

  2. Richardthughes: Will someone tell me, because “I’m not reading his posts”. wink wink

If he says something interesting enough I’m sure someone else will quote it and you can read it then.

  3. OMagain: If he says something interesting enough I’m sure someone else will quote it and you can read it then.

Thanks. I imagine full meltdown is triggered at this point. Are we at 350 yet?

  4. OMagain, the nearly human hemorrhoid, is here to really mess things up.

Thank you for proving that you are intellectual cowards. But we didn’t need any more evidence for that

  5. Let’s play famous quotes:

“Yes I have programmed and used GAs to find solutions to encryption issues.”
“Name ONE GA expert here- besides me (yes I have used and written them) ”
“Look at it this way- Star Trek: Next generation- Lt Data was able to rewire his neuro networks due to the algorithms INSIDE OF HIM”
    “My IQ is only 150.”
“Yes, my IQ is much higher than fat Felsenstein’s”
“The is the beauty of being me- anything that any man does I can understand.”
“Who the fuck are you to say there is no point of keeping track of the LKN?”
“Ya see, as I have said before, designing agencies, successful designing agencies anyway, usually do have the capabilities to design what it is they are designing.”
” Anyone who is aware of my physical condition (Thanks Iraq) knows I cannot jump up & down.”
“That doesn’t count the experiments I conduct in my basement. Some labs would be jealous of the equipment I house & use there.

For example I now know that ticks are more attracted to watermelon rinds then they are to orange peels or orange slices. I also know that dragonflies play.”

“The same place I have lived for years.

If you want to visit me I can be found at 550 Main St in Keene, NH. Just ask for Joe G.”

“Junk DNA has been abandoned ”

  6. Frankie: You would have to move more than that comment, Neil. Or else you would be a hypocrite- oops, too late

Frankie appears to be aiming for suicide-by-cop flounce-by-admin. Maybe he thinks that will give him the victim points necessary to be allowed back at UD?

  7. Patrick,

It’s strange. “I’ll sneak back so I can get banned again”. Maybe he misses crying on KirosFocus’ shoulder?

  8. Patrick: Frankie appears to be aiming for suicide-by-cop flounce-by-admin.Maybe he thinks that will give him the victim points necessary to be allowed back at UD?

OK, Patrick is too stupid to follow along..

  9. RichTard Hughes is lying again– different day, different lie:

Funny how ID_Guy and Joe are both barking up the same stupid tree – mutations only cause harm!

I never said nor implied such a thing. IOW RichTard, you are a liar. That seems to be the evotard way- lie, just lie.

In a later post Richtard exposes his ignorance as if his ignorance is meaningful discourse:

The question is, why would a designer fuck with 20 populations of the same fish in different ways to remove ability for sight. He sure is moving in mysterious ways!

The answer is the designer didn’t need to fuck with anything-> built-in responses to environmental cues and all.

Geez Richtard I have only been over that many times with you. You must be proud of your willful ignorance.

The evotard motto- “Since we can’t beat them, we will lie about them”.

  10. Yeah you got it- the non-blog blog.

    Take a look for yourself:

    Richie’s non-blog blog

    He states:

Let’s look closely and the dishonesty, bad science and hypocrisy of the ID movement.

But absolutely nothing. So I take it that Richie couldn’t find anything and couldn’t make up anything either, because there is absolutely nothing a place holder for his blog and a violation of rights for his “other” post.

So let’s look at Richie’s claim:

1 Dishonesty- Yup that fits Richie and his retards to a tee

2 bad science- if you can call sheer dumb luck “science”

3 hypocrisy- saying publish in peer-review all the while stifling any attempt to do so and destroying careers in the process.

No I understand why fate intervined and changed my path to engineering. Had I been in Gonzales’ shoes at ISU I would have beaten Hector to a pulp. But it would be in the name of science- natural selection and all.

Richie retardo ends his bold claim with:

But they DO have God on there side…

    We DO? Not necessarily…

  11. Richtard Hughes thinks he is being all clever and shit, when actually all he is doing is exposing his scientific illiteracy.

Telic Thoughts has a thread on the alleged “god of the gaps argument”.

My buddy Jim posted the following on how the design inference works:

    1- We observe X

2- Everytime we have observed X and knew the cause it has ALWAYS been via agency interaction

3- We have NEVER observed blind, undirected (chemical) processes producing X

4- Therefore when we observe X and don’t know the cause we can safely infer it was via agency interaction

5- And to refute that inference all one has to do is show that blind, undirected (chemical) processes do indeed suffice.

Then I sit back and let the flailing begin…

    RichTard Hughes flails

Hmm, what number should “I smuggle some question-begging bad analogy in there, because we’ve never seen ‘agency interaction’ ACTUALLY DESIGN THIS THING”?

I think he’s left it out.

Unfortunately for Richtard science does not need to observe the agency actually designing the thing.

If we did then archaeology, forensics and SETI would be in big trouble.

Geez Rich are you really that ignorant of science?

To top it off midwifetoad chimes in with:

Nor have we ever observed x in the process of being designed (although we have observed x being incrementally modified through mutation and selection).

Unfortunately no one has ever observed mutation and selection constructing a functional multi-part system- IOW there isn’t any justification for what the toads baldly asserts.

IOW all the toad can do is lie.

So ignorance and lies are the only way around the logic behind the design inference.

    Got it.

  12. When I asked Richtard Hughes what is the definition of the word “spontaneous” he sed:

Instantaneous, all at once. Which is what this math requires.

IOW Richtard can’t even read a dictionary as that is not what the words means:

    spontaneous

Richtard knows nothing about science and nothing about English. No surprise there…

  13. RichTard Hughes is at it again, this time making the easily refuted claim:

Geocentrism. Clearly spawned from creationist views …

What an ignorant puke. Geocentrism was the SCIENTIFIC point of view-

    Geocentric Model:

In astronomy, the geocentric model (also known as geocentrism, or the Ptolemaic system), is the superseded theory, that the Earth is the center of the universe, and that all other objects orbit around it. This geocentric model served as the predominant cosmological system in many ancient civilizations such as ancient Greece. As such, most Ancient Greek philosophers assumed that the Sun, Moon, stars, and naked eye planets circled the Earth, including the noteworthy systems of Aristotle (see Aristotelian physics) and Ptolemy.

RichTard Hughes is so freaking ignorant he is trying to rewrite history. RichTard Hughes is the result of “education” via evotard propaganda.

    Pathetically clueless…

  14. Is Joe still posting? Can’t be to me, I’m on ‘ignore’. That would be as sad as the time he made up friends.

  15. As if that needed to be said- it is clear that all evos are proudly willfully ignorant. But anyway-

Richie Tardboy Hughes has a new post over on the septic zone:

    Evolution Trounces Intelligent Design

But the post pertains to a program that runs intelligent design evolution and has nothing to do with unguided evolution.

Even Richie says so but is too stupid to grasp it:

Eureqa evolves and breeds solutions to problems using genetic structures for equations and culls bad ones based on fitness – how well the equation explains known data.

    Nice own goal there dumbass…

  16. I need to amend/ edit the OP. The following sentence requires an adjustment based on this discussion:

Evolutionists hide behind father time and think that excuses them from the testability criteria science requires.

It needs to be changed to:

Evolutionists hide behind father time and baseless lame-ass definitions and think that excuses them from the testability criteria science requires.

  17. In an article in “Scientific America”, Mike Shermer states:

Science begins with the null hypothesis, which assumes that the claim under investigation is not true until demonstrated otherwise.

And if that is true then the claim that biological processes are natural must be taken and held as not true. The claim that natural processes produced the genetic code must also be taken and held as not true.

    He goes on to say:

The null hypothesis means that the burden of proof is on the person asserting a positive claim, not on the skeptics to disprove it.

We don’t have to show that natural selection, drift, neutral construction or any other blind and mindless processes can’t do it. And guess what? You can’t show that they can so it all works out. 😎 😛

However further down Mike proves he isn’t interested in science as he demands a meeting with the Designer as the only positive evidence he will accept for ID, which is about the design. And that means the positive case for ID is based on our knowledge of cause and effect relationships. And even if some of it is based on a sample of one- humans- that is still more than the opposition’s lack of a sample size.

  18. Wow. Another day gone, Joe is still in meltdown mode, Mung is still trolling.

I like the idea of confining those two asshats to just this thread. Can anyone make it happen?

  19. I can’t see Joe or Mung, so to me almost all of this thread consists of content-free ridicule of Joe and Mung. This is not an improvement on Joe and Mung.

Is anyone familiar with the Ignobel prize ceremony? Winners are allowed to give short speeches, and if they run over time, a small girl’s voice begins repeating “Please stop. I’m bored” until they stop. Please stop. I’m bored.

  20. Acartia:
I was going to continue until I reached comment 400 but…hey…look…a squirrel.

Don’t stop now! You’re helping FrankenJoe with his famous search for the world’s Largest Known Number! I know he’s looked under the sink and behind the fridge but he just can’t seem to find it anywhere. 😀

  21. John Harshman:
    Please stop. I’m bored.

Yes, trying to get evolutionists to actually step up and support the claims of their position is boring because all they do is whine and stomp their feet instead of providing anything of note.

  22. Acartia, how is your molecular code coming? You know the code that turns water into ice- have you translated it yet?

  23. John Harshman: Is anyone familiar with the Ignobel prize ceremony? Winners are allowed to give short speeches, and if they run over time, a small girl’s voice begins repeating “Please stop. I’m bored” until they stop. Please stop. I’m bored.

Hey, I know the Rosenberg family quite well–father, Dan and three daughters who are very involved in that every year. They’re neighbors.

Dan did the main role in the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta and the girls (now all three grown up) have been involved for many years. One of them was a sculpture last year, I think. Painted silver.

  24. Frankie:
Acartia, how is your molecular code coming? You know the code that turns water into ice- have you translated it yet?

I see that you still have not figured out what a question mark at the end of a sentence means. But that should not come as a surprise to anyone given your complete lack of knowledge about what an equal sign denotes.

  25. To avoid an outbreak of empty chair syndrome, I should point out that Frankie’s posting privileges have been suspended for thirty days. Patrick is informing him by email and an announcement in the “moderation issues” thread.

You are taking away my favourite chew toy.

  27. Richardthughes: Joe G: “That doesn’t count the experiments I conduct in my basement. Some labs would be jealous of the equipment I house & use there.

For example I now know that ticks are more attracted to watermelon rinds then they are to orange peels or orange slices. I also know that dragonflies play.”

This is a joke, right? He never actually said this, right? Right? Please tell me a grown man didn’t write this.

  28. Alan Fox:
To avoid an outbreak of empty chair syndrome, I should point out that Frankie’s posting privileges have been suspended for thirty days. Patrick is informing him by email and an announcement in the “moderation issues” thread.

    Why?

  29. Yes Rumrat, after a cook out I threw watermelon rinds into the woods across the street from my house. Some still had watermelon on them. A week later I was in the same woods with one of my dogs, came upon the rinds and flipped two of them over. They were both full of ticks- little 8 legged blood-suckers. I repeated the experiment the next year with the same results- both times were after weeks of no rain. I then placed orange rinds in the same place but no ticks.

The dragon-fly thing is an observation while hunting near a river.

  30. newton:

So Frankie is ignoring most posters and declares victory because no one can refute his assertions.Nice.

LoL! As if the people I am ignoring have something of substance to say. I can declare victory because peer-review is devoid of support for evolution by means of blind and mindless processes. And the world is devoid of a scientific theory of evolution.
