    Just to clarify, I took a break from moderating (notice the verb) and carried on as admin (notice the noun). At the moment, while Lizzie is still absent, I’m happy enough to continue. So, no to the deal.

He should also be reassured that at least two of our admins, Mung and vjtorley**, are, or have been, regular contributors to UD and will, I’m sure, ensure that he will be treated fairly.

    *subject to the rules, legal stuff, spam, porn excepted. Comments that step outside “address the post, not the poster” may be moved by admins to “Guano” but nevertheless will remain visible.

    **Not sure whether Vincent still has posting rights at UD.

    So Alan was allowed to talk about moderation issues on another thread,, but I was not allowed to respond to that? He guanoed my post for saying I don’t think he would be treated fairly.

    And I am clearly right, because people have attacked Gpuccio here, not just his post, and you have not moved any of those posts nor have you warned any of the people who do that that if they continue you will put them in pre-moderation.

    Is there one set of rules for Alan?

    Look ass-hole, gpuccio is not a commenter here, so I can give him what he worked so hard to sow. He earned it by sweating, oozing, dishonesty from every one of his pores. I had given him the benefit of the doubt, thinking he was just honestly mistaken, only to get bullshit as an answer from him.     I should have pointed this out. Lizzie decided a while ago that in over-the-garden-wall discussions, participants would be granted honorary membership and TSZ rules would apply equally. Specifically, this happened when the UD commenter kairosfocus was being addressed using his real name.

    So I did guano a comment of yours that was insulting gpuccio as he is currently enjoying honorary TSZ membership. (I know!) Apologies for not pointing that out. One day, I hope the rules will be reviewed and condensed into one easy-reference section. One day…

    Do you have a specific statement from Lizzie?
    I would extend honorary TSZ membership to anyone who engaged in an over-the-wall discussion in an honest manner.

    Entropy was incentivizing gpuccio to join us here, despite what phoodoo might think. By offering protection without obligation, you are creating a perverse incentive.

    Your moderation seems to be taking the same standard as his. Frankly, if you had any balls, you should have guanoed DNA Jocks posts, especially the ones where he was insulting you for doing the right thing and guanoed posts that told others to fuck off. Instead you just rolled over on that (just like Alan did), and now you appear to just be rolling over again.     Alan allows posters to insult others all the time, especially from UD. He never moves those posts. If he does, show me some examples. I can show plenty of examples where he hasn’t.     I have. I did not experience any slow down in typing. Perhaps that is your browser.

    Blocks are just a way to organize your post. They can be a heading, a paragraph, a quote, etc. The + icon is your friend.

    Save your draft often. Use preview often. It’s helpful to switch back and forth between Visual Editor and Code Editor.
